Reef Explorers has no accounts, no newsletter and no advertising, and sets no tracking cookies. We don't store your searches. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and to keep the site running. If you write to us, we use your email only to reply.

We measure audience with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores no personal data: we only see anonymous totals, such as the number of page views, the pages visited, the referring site, the country and the type of device.

Content and photos

Texts and data are written for Reef Explorers from the published sources listed on each page. Dive site photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, and mood photos from Unsplash; the author and licence of each photo are credited on the page where it appears. Typical weather figures are computed from Open-Meteo data (open-meteo.com), generated using Copernicus Climate Change Service information (ERA5) and Météo-France sea temperature analyses. To report an error or ask for a correction, write to the contact address above.
