The story

The San Pedro, a 287-ton Dutch-built ship, left Havana in July 1733 with the Spanish fleet, which a hurricane sank or swamped in the Straits of Florida. The wreck opened to the public in 1989 as Florida's second Underwater Archaeological Preserve.
