The 'Million Dollar Wreck', a 117 m freighter named for its costly cargo.
Her keel was laid in Kobe in 1919. A 500 pound bomb from a TBF Avenger of USS Essex sent the San Francisco Maru down stern first with five of her crew; two Type 95 Ha-Go light tanks still sit on her forward deck.
