The story

The steamer Hilda, sailing from Southampton, struck the Pierre de Portes rocks west of the Saint-Malo entrance channel at about 23:00 on 18 November 1905 and broke in two; at least 125 people died. Engines, boilers and the shaft remain; the propeller is on display in Dinard.
