Pick a month
Typical weather, not a forecast: averages for 2021–2025 (air, rain, wind), data from Open-Meteo (ERA5 / Copernicus, Météo-France). Covers an area of roughly 10 to 25 km around the destination.
Lofoten Diving (Ballstad) is open all year but runs only one dive daily 1 Nov–31 May; summer is the most popular season and July–August has the richest flora and fauna (Visit Lofoten). Winter offers visibility up to 40 m but water of 2–6 °C, and a drysuit is recommended. No source says diving stops in any month.
From the easiest to the most demanding. Levels with a dashed outline are estimates we are still verifying.
When the big encounters happen, month by month.
