Pick a month
Typical weather, not a forecast: averages for 2021–2025 (air, rain, wind) and 2023–2025 (sea), data from Open-Meteo (ERA5 / Copernicus, Météo-France). Covers an area of roughly 10 to 25 km around the destination.
Ang Thong NMP (thainationalparks.com): main diving season Feb–Oct, clearest Mar–Apr, park usually closed 1 Nov–15 Dec in the monsoon. Wikipedia: heaviest rain mid-Oct to early Dec on Samui. Wikivoyage: best Jun–Aug, diving possible virtually all year. Nov–Dec is shown as possible (not closed) because local Phangan sites remain diveable; Jan is shown as possible as it is outside the Ang Thong main season. Wikivoyage is a weaker source; showing Jun–Aug as best rests on it alone.
From the easiest to the most demanding. Levels with a dashed outline are estimates we are still verifying.
