In the National Marine Park of Alonissos, scuba diving is banned in Zone A, and no vessel may come within 3 nautical miles (about 5.6 km) of Piperi. The Peristera wreck is open only to Advanced Open Water divers accompanied by a certified dive centre, May–October.
